This weeks journal post would be boring. I have nothing really to show you. So, I thought I would illustrate why I have nothing for this week.

I had one busy week. Monday I picked up Cammy and we headed to Kelli's for a lesson in wand making. Mine, above right, was wedding inspired (like everything else right now!). It was really fun playing with Kelli's techniques and coming up with something. Not to mention that Kelli's new studio is amazing... I snapped a few random photos to share, but realized I did not get a full room shot. Which I promise to do next time. Be sure to scroll down to my last post to see the amazing fairy Kelli gave me.

It really looks like a dream store! She even hand made her curtains using vintage handkerchiefs (above, right).

Her storage ideas made wonderful displays as well.
Here is the wand Kelli made,

And here is Cammy's

As it always does when with these two, time flew and I had to get home to Mike for dinner since I was leaving the next morning to go spend time with Andrea. I have been to her house quite a few times, but never to sleep over so it was a treat to have the extra time with her. Her kids are so great, Mario even gifted me with a balloon when I left (and if you read Andrea's blog you will know what a big deal that was!).
Once the kids were tucked in to bed - and we wore them out doing some shopping earlier that day - we set about working on journals on the floor in Andrea's studio.

It made me so happy to see Andrea using the altered moleskine journal I made her a while back.

We had so much fun talking, laughing, creating... I punched about 100 shapes from her scrap pile!! The next morning we were able to continue creating at the kitchen table while the kids played. I was working on my guest book for the wedding - which I will do a separate post about soon.

Here are our journals together - Mine likes posing with other journals as you know from here.

And here, on the left, is just a quick photo of some packaging and product we love. I am going to order some today. And in the back is part of a present I brought for Andrea.
Speaking of presents... I always leave her house stocked up with goodies - she is so generous with me, and this time she out did herself. Look at this bag she gave me! It is a Harrods of London pink bag with vintage candy illustrations that they used to have in their catalogs. It is so lovely.... she knows the key to my heart!

After I left Andrea's I swung by Amy's to have dinner with her, Rich and little Alfredo (who calls me "My Hope" and I love it). Alas, I did not take any photos! I should have, he is such a cutie... and Amy got a really great hair cut. Next time!
So - the next two days (thursday and today) were set aside for doctors appointments - just two and nothing is wrong, but by the time I go, wait forever for the dr, see the doctor, come home, most of the day is gone!
Then - there is still more! On Sunday I am excited to be taking a Patchwork Pandemonium class with Tim Holtz at The Queen's Ink. Have you ever taken a class with Tim? They are always wonderful. I will take photos and let you know how it is!

So... as you can see - I had a very busy, very social week. And that is my excuse for not journaling as much as I should have. And I promise next week I will post a real update!
Happy weekend!
