I only got to make 2 spreads this week. But before I show you - look how fat my journal is getting - I am two pages away from it being half full - which is wonderful since I am already itching to start a new one.

I do not always create the pages in order that they are in the journal. I have this system where I do every other page in marker, then painted background (since the markers bleed through a bit). So I did the right page of the spread first, while with some friends journaling. I really really dislike this page. I do not know why I have this obsession of not leaving any of the page stark white, but it makes me make some bad decisions of coloring in thing I think would be best left alone.
On the left page, I wrote about - as usual balance. It always seems to come down to balance for me. I need to find it in so many aspects of my life it is an ever present quest. I should do an entire journal just on balance! I think life, my life at least, is made up of balancing your beliefs, friendships, work, all of it. And I feel that I need to work on it to get the perfect fit for me.

The other spread I did utilizes 2 of my own designs - which is rare for me. On the left is part of my follow your heart postcard, and i journaled, asking myself what dreams am I hiding from (always, right this moment, recently). It was fun to see where this brought me.
On the right I used the girl from my here comes the bride greeting, and started a list of songs we plan on using for a cd we want to make for our guests to bring home.

So that's it for this week. I actually am working on another notebook type journal to use for the Unraveling class and Fire Starter session I am doing this month... so I may show that to you over the next week so stay tuned!
Post Script: Happy 4th of July! I found this sweet image in one of my old (1800's) books and thought I would share. Click on it for the high resolution version:
